Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer

Overview

• Location: Butte, Montana
• Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts
• Hours: 40 per week
• Contract length: 12 weeks

Role Summary

• Performs ultrasound procedures to obtain imaging results according to physician specifications.
• May transfer patients and assist with the ultrasound examination process.

Required Qualifications

• Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year.
• 2 years of general and vascular ultrasound experience (excluding ABIs, segmental pressure, echo, and breast).
• Associate's degree.
• ARDMS.
• BLS issued by American Heart Association.

Key Skills

• Operates ultrasound imaging and related equipment.
• Educates, positions, and immobilizes patients for procedures.
• Coordinates examinations to support timeliness, quality, and continuity of care.
• Follows provider imaging orders and submits images and clinical information for interpretation.
• Evaluates image quality.
• Communicates effectively with patients, coworkers, radiologists, and leadership.
• Uses sterile technique and follows infection prevention policies.
• Handles multiple tasks and meets deadlines.
• Works effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
• Uses computers and Microsoft Office Suite, and can learn position-related applications.
