Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg (Travel)

Location: Lewiston, Maine
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit & Facility Overview

37-bed Med-Surg/Telemetry unit (T1 Med-Surg)
Trauma Level III facility
Patient ratio: 1:5
Specialty equipment includes bariatric beds, wound vacs, prevena vacs, Baxter IV pumps
Electronic Health Records: Omnicell, Cerner
Patient population includes adult surgical patients with diagnoses such as diabetes mellitus, pneumonia, trauma, general surgery, bariatrics, plastics, and urology

Position Details

Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
Weekend hours: Every other weekend required
Call requirements: None
Float required to all inpatient units
Ultrasound IV team available 7 AM to 10 PM for IV assistance

Required Qualifications

Discipline: Registered Nurse (RN)
Specialty: Med-Surg/Telemetry
Minimum 2 years of experience in Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing (highest required experience)
Required certifications: BLS or BCLS
Must have skills/experience in:
- Telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Management of dysrhythmias
Preferred experience: Bariatric nursing experience

Additional Notes

Looking for experienced surgical nurses with telemetry experience
High patient turnover due to surgical population
Scrub color: Navy Blue
