Weekend Hours: Every other weekend or as needed
Call Requirements: No on call
Orientation: Twice monthly

Department: CVICU (Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit)
Floor: 2nd
Trauma Level: 3
Number of Beds: 8
Patient Ratios: 2:1 with occasional 1:1
Patient Population: Adult/Geriatric
Equipment: Impella, IABP, CRRT
EHR System: Cerner

Required Qualifications

Years of Experience: Minimum 1.5 years (higher value between 1.5 and 2 years)
Specialty Experience: At least 1 year CVICU experience (after orientation complete)
Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; CCRN preferred
Education: Associate Nursing Degree

Skills and Experience

Must have strong critical thinking skills
Experience with common diagnoses/treatments including CABG, TAVR, STEMI, Carotids
Preferred: CVICU experience

Additional Information

Float requirements per scheduled rotation
Dress code: professional scrubs of any color
No unacceptable attire specified
