Travel RN Opportunity – Winchester, Virginia

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry/Medical-Surgical Float Pool
• Employment Type: Travel
• Location: Winchester, VA
• Unit: Float Pool (Tele/Med Surg)
• Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (3x12 hour shifts)
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and holidays (may request one holiday off; no more than two days total for holiday requests)
• On-Call: None

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry/Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Cardiac experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must be able to float to other units
• Must have ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA only)
• Must hold NIH & VA State License or Compact License
• Experience with EPIC EMR system is a must

Unit & Facility Information

• 495-bed facility, Level II Trauma Center
• Patient ratio approximately 1:7
• Acute care patient population
• No specialized equipment required
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs (per facility dress code policy)
• Facility has earned an “A” grade in Patient Safety for 9 consecutive years

Contract Details

• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start dates available in January
• No block scheduling available
• Candidates within a 50-mile radius considered (instead of 65 miles)
• Holiday time off requests limited to one holiday or two days total

This position is ideal for experienced Telemetry/Med-Surg RNs with cardiac skills looking for a travel assignment in a well-established Level II Trauma Center with a supportive float pool environment.
