Job Summary

Seeking a Travel RN with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Emergency Services. The position is based in a fast-paced Emergency Department with a 32-bed capacity, serving patients from birth to death. The role requires strong critical care skills, stamina, and the ability to handle a variety of cases including strokes, STEMIs, and trauma.


Key Details

  • Shift: Days/Mid (11 AM - 11 PM)
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
  • Weekend Hours: Rotate every other weekend
  • Call Requirements: May vary depending on census
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5
  • EHR System: Cerner (required)
  • Patient Population: All ages (birth to death)
  • Unit Type: Emergency Department
  • Trauma Level: Not designated, but receives all traumas

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Services (highest requirement)
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS
    • PALS or ENPC
    • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
    • BLS
    • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
  • Licenses: Registered Nurse License (RN)
  • Skills:
    • Good patient experience skills with patients and families
    • Critical care thinking
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience with strokes, STEMIs, and trauma preferred
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel

  • Fast-paced Emergency Department with critical care equipment
  • Energetic and knowledgeable personality fit preferred
  • Dress code: Scrubs of any color allowed; hoodies and inappropriate t-shirts are not acceptable
  • Float requirements: Assist in other areas where competent
