Radiation Therapist

Overview

Travel assignment in Winchester, Virginia
Unit: Therapeutic Radiology
1 opening
36 guaranteed hours per week
Day shift: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
No weekend requirements
No on-call requirements
Start date: not prior to Dec 7

Required Qualifications

Valid Radiation Therapist license in Virginia
Radiation Therapist (2 years of experience)
Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
BLS
ARRT

Responsibilities

Provides daily care of cancer patients and delivers radiation treatments according to the radiation oncologist’s prescription and instructions
May perform simulations and provide clinical instruction for radiation therapy students
Required during Brachytherapy procedures
Assists in treatment planning procedures, including tumor localization and dosimetry
Triage sick patients to nursing for evaluation

Experience with the responsibilities listed above

EMR: EPIC

Dress Code

Caribean Blue scrubs, or any solid matching top and bottom colors such as black top and black bottom
