Overview

• Travel RN position in a Float Pool.
• Specialty: Critical Care/ Med Surg.
• Shift: Days, 3x12.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Float experience within the last year.
• 2 years of float experience.
• BLS.
• ACLS.
• PALS.
• Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications

• One or more of the following may be required based on the unit hired to, or acquired within the department-required timeframe: NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E. Six Assessment & Care Modules, C-EFM, or other unit-specific certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for patient care.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
• Involves patients and/or significant others in care decisions.
• Assesses and documents educational needs and learning abilities.
• Documents the plan of care, including problems, nursing diagnoses, interventions, and goals/outcomes.
• Performs patient handoffs using patient safety tools.
• Communicates through the chain of command and with the multidisciplinary team.
• Stays current on unit huddles and other unit communications.
• Communicates pertinent findings with physicians and may round with them.
• Participates in process improvement activities.
• Completes hospital and required nursing competencies, mandatory in-services/MyEducation assignments, and relevant certifications.
