Overview
- Travel RN assignment in Corpus Christi, Texas
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Experience
- Meditech experience
- Telemetry experience
Unit Details
- Neuro/Ortho unit
- 25 beds
- Typical patient ratio: 6:1, sometimes 5:1
- Common equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, KCI wound vacs, and SCD pumps
Clinical Responsibilities
- General med/surg competencies
- Manage chest tubes
- Manage non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodarone drips
- Manage weight-based heparin drips
Schedule and Staffing
- Day shift staffing includes 1 free charge nurse, 1 unit clerk, 3 PCTs, and 5 RNs
- Night shift staffing includes 5 RNs and 1 PCT
Dress Code
- Royal blue scrubs
