Radiation Therapist

Location

Reno, Nevada

Contract

Travel assignment
13 weeks

Schedule

36 guaranteed hours per week
Day shift: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
May start at 6:45 AM for warm-up duty
May include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
Call details to be discussed during interview

Required Qualifications

Valid Radiation Therapist license in Nevada
3 years of Radiation Therapist experience
Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
ARRT
BLS issued by American Heart Association
3 years of recent TruBeam experience

Key Responsibilities

Administer prescribed therapeutic radiation
Perform localization procedures for treatment preparation
Provide patient and family education and support
Assist with onboarding new team members and educating students
Operate linear accelerators and simulators
Perform basic dosimetry, custom block fabrication, and charting
Provide nursing and secretarial support as needed

Work Expectations

May float to other needs within competency level
May be required to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
Must complete annual core competencies and department-specific workflow requirements
