Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Employment Type

Travel contract
Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit Description

Medical Respiratory Unit with 42 beds specializing in acute and chronic respiratory conditions
Patient population includes those with pneumonia, shortness of breath, COPD, lung diseases, GI issues, diabetes, occasional stroke, and surgical patients
Nursing ratio: 1:6 on main unit; 1:4 on an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit
Interdisciplinary team rounds daily
Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Schedule

36 or 48 hours per week accepted
Every other weekend required
Holidays as required

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross
