Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health (Travel)

Location: White Hall, Arkansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend, 24 hours
Call Requirements: None

Unit & Patient Population

Behavioral Health Unit (BHU IP Unit 1)
36 beds total: 24 adult beds, 12 geriatric beds
Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
Common diagnoses: Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Substance Use Disorder (SUD), Dementia
EHR system: Cerner (experience required)

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 3 years of behavioral health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in an acute care setting
Certifications: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Handle With Care
Expertise in crisis stabilization, including verbal de-escalation and emergency physical intervention skills
Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
Ability to float between adult and geriatric behavioral health units

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with milieu management using the therapeutic milieu model

Work Environment & Culture

High-energy, team-oriented environment
Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills expected
Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
No clothing with hoods (jackets, hoodies) allowed
