Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • Med Surg experience
  • Stepdown experience

Preferred Experience

  • ICU/stepdown experience
  • 1 year of med/surg experience

Unit Details

  • Acute care unit with 30 beds
  • Patient mix includes med-surg and higher-acuity care
  • Weekend rotation required
  • Floating may include TCU

Clinical Skills / Procedures

  • IV starts
  • CVL care
  • Arterial lines
  • Foley catheter care
  • EKG monitoring
  • Wound care

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced, changing environment
  • Team-based care model

Additional Notes

  • BLS and ACLS must be completed prior to the end of orientation
  • Nurses wear navy blue scrubs
