CT Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)

Location: Dexter, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed

Job Summary

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures using CT imaging equipment.
• Apply principles of radiation protection and aseptic technique as necessary.
• Evaluate radiographs for technical quality and exercise professional judgment during procedures.
• Recognize patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiate life support measures if needed.
• Assist physicians with administration of contrast media and respond appropriately to reactions.
• Provide care for patients ranging from newborn to geriatric, addressing both physical and psychological needs.
• Maintain IV skills when working weekdays.
• Contribute to patient records and quality assurance programs.
• May assume supervisory responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor.
• Participate in clinical education and training of student technologists.
• Assist with inventory control and supply purchasing decisions for assigned area.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, with experience within the last year.
• Radiologic Technology Certification or AART certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Work Environment & Additional Details

• EMR system currently Cerner, transitioning to EPIC in fall 2024.
• Dress code: Black scrubs required.
• Patient population includes all age groups and diverse social/economic backgrounds.

• Position requires strong clinical judgment and ability to respond to emergencies.
