Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel CT Technologist for a Radiology department position requiring 1+ year of CT experience and active ARRT certification.

Details

• Radiology department in a hospital setting in Dexter, MO
• Patient population ranges from newborns to geriatrics
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• EMR is Cerner, with a planned transition to Epic

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent CT Technologist experience
• Active Radiologic Technology Certification (ARRT) required
• BLS required
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• License required if applicable — must be active at time of consideration; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment unless renewal documentation is provided

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic CT and radiographic procedures including patient positioning, immobilization, and exposure factor calculation
• Operate imaging and other related equipment as appropriate
• Apply radiation protection principles and evaluate radiographic images for technical quality
• Assist physicians with contrast media administration and respond appropriately to potential reactions
• Recognize patient emergencies and initiate life support measures as necessary
• Maintain IV skills when working weekday shifts
• Contribute to patient records, quality assurance responsibilities, and supply management for assigned area
• May provide clinical education support to student technologists
• Black scrubs required
• Up to 5 days of RTO (requested time off) is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but are subject to a reduced bill rate
• Local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts at the facility; after 3 consecutive contracts, a 1-year separation or transfer outside the 50-mile radius is required before returning
