Registered Nurse (NICU) - Travel Contract

Location: Austin, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Hours per Week: 36
On Call Requirement: Yes
Weekend Shifts: 4 weekend shifts per schedule

Unit Overview

Level 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
65 beds
200+ staff members
Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 4:1
Equipment includes isolettes, ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, breast pumps, and more
Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems: Meditech and CPN
Permanent night shift and weekend day positions available

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- American Board Of Cardiovascular Perfusion (Multi State Cert) (ABCP)

Job Expectations

Ability to work collaboratively as a team player
Positive attitude and adaptability to change
Adherence to unit policies and guidelines (reviewed on unit)
Dress code: Navy scrubs required
