Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Position

Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks (3 months)
Shift: Nights
Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed (option for 48 hours per week)
Weekend Requirement: Alternating weekends (every other full weekend, Saturday and Sunday)
Holiday Requirement: Must work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day)
Call Requirements: None

Unit & Role Information

Department: Medical Unit (Clinical Decision Unit)
Unit Beds: 8
Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 4-6 patients
Patient Type: Typical ER, observation/admission (not an ER position)
EMR System: EPIC (highly preferred)
Role Summary: Coordinate, plan, direct, and implement nursing care in a medical-surgical setting with a high volume of admissions
Float Requirements: Customary float to any inpatient unit

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
Minimum 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

Experience with EPIC EMR system
ACLS certification preferred
Team player with a pleasant, caring attitude focused on patient outcomes

Additional Information

Dress Code: Black scrubs required
Time Off: Up to 5 days off per 13-week contract automatically approved; additional time off requires leader approval and may need to be made up
This is an auto-offer position, subject to final manager approval
