Registered Nurse (Med Surg/Telemetry) - Arizona

Job Details

• Location: Kingman, Arizona
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days and Nights
• Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Patient Assignment: Caring for 5 to 6 in-patients with medical or surgical needs
• Unit: Med Surg remote telemetry units on 2nd and 3rd floors; occasional float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) if needed
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 5-6:1
• Dress Code: Navy blue uniform

Unit Information

• Equipment Used:

  • Pyxis medication station
  • Meditech electronic charting system
  • Alariz IV pumps
  • Remote telemetry monitoring system
• Unit Bed Sizes:

  • 2nd Floor: 2E (20 beds), 2S (14 beds), 2C (23 beds), 2N (17 beds)
  • 3rd Floor: CDU (20 beds), 3N (20 beds), 3S (23 beds)

Orientation & Training

• 12 hours of non-billable hospital orientation (typically on a Monday)
• 2 to 3 shifts of floor orientation

Schedule & Work Environment

• Must be willing to work every other weekend or one weekend shift per week (Saturday and Sunday)
• Work alongside up to one other nurse and a Licensed Nursing Assistant/Unit Clerk
• Client enforces a 50-mile radius restriction and does not accept local candidates
• Call-off policy allows cancellation of up to one shift every two weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Acute care experience
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification

Additional Notes

• Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation period
