Location

  • Durham, North Carolina

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • 12-hour shifts preferred; 10-hour shifts can be accommodated
  • Start time: 7:00 AM
  • Call required: 1 night per week and 1 weekend every 4–6 weeks
  • Holiday call may be requested
  • Call response time: 1 hour

Setting

  • Operating room
  • 4 ORs and 6 procedure rooms
  • Average daily case volume: 46
  • Floating is limited to other ORs only

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • Must be comfortable with orthopedic, total joint, spine, and general/laparoscopic cases

Preferred Qualifications

  • CNOR
  • Eye experience

Responsibilities / Work Environment

  • Scrubbing is not required for RNs
  • Charge nurse available
  • Surgical techs are present
  • Fast-paced, quick-turnover environment
  • Teamwork and punctuality are important

Orientation

  • 5–7 days
