Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• 12-hour shifts
• Day shift
• Varied start times
• No self-scheduling for travelers
• Block scheduling may be allowed if it meets unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in West Virginia
• OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• 2 or 3 completed travel assignments
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience passing the arms in and out for Robotics
• Orthopedics experience
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS

Responsibilities

• Circulate cases if needed
• Float to outpatient surgery
• Be comfortable working as the only RN overnight with 2 techs
• Participate in call rotation

Call Requirements

• One weeknight on-call shift every 2 weeks
• One weekend 24-hour on-call shift per month
• Holiday call as needed
• 30-minute call response time

Unit Details

• Operating room setting
• 9 ORs, 1 procedure room, and 1 hybrid room
• Average volume is 35-45 cases per day
• Common cases include general surgery, ENT, eyes, orthopedics, robotics, trauma, vascular, pediatrics, and emergent cases

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided
• Unit orientation is 3 shifts over 1 week
• Background hits must be disclosed at submission
• Drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Previous permanent candidates must be gone for 2 years
• Previous travelers who completed 1 full year there must be gone for 2 years
• Only 1 submission at a time is allowed across the system
• Up to 2 candidates may be submitted per opening
