Registered Polysomnographic Technician - Night Shift
Location: Bozeman, Montana
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: 3 consecutive 12-hour night shifts (36 hours/week)
Job Summary
- Perform all aspects of sleep disorders testing, including setup and monitoring of patients over 10-12 hour periods.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain sleep lab equipment independently during testing.
- Score and evaluate polysomnograms.
- Provide education and consultation to patients, physicians, and outreach groups regarding sleep disorders.
- Administer therapies as ordered by physicians.
- Maintain a calm, professional, and positive environment in the department.
Required Qualifications
- Polysomnographer with 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year.
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BRPT) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Schedule & Attendance
- Regular and sustained attendance required.
- May require working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours.
- On-call duties may be necessary.
- Must live at least 90 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking.
- Occasional climbing of ladders or stairs.
- Frequent twisting, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, and pulling.
- Continuous fine finger movements and close visual acuity.
- Ability to handle exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, chemicals, infectious diseases, and emotionally challenging situations.

Additional Notes
- The facility reserves the right to cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week contract due to low census or unforeseen circumstances.
