Radiation Therapist - New Mexico, Clovis

Job Overview

  • Administer safe and accurate radiation therapy treatments.
  • Ensure precise treatment delivery and data capture, demonstrating sound clinical judgment.
  • Prepare treatment rooms and equipment; operate complex radiation-emitting treatment units.
  • Monitor patients visually for unusual reactions and report to radiation oncologist.
  • Reinforce patient care instructions and refer to allied health specialists as needed.
  • Maintain treatment and simulation records, including quality assurance and machine checks.
  • Attend planning clinics and participate in departmental quality assurance practices.
  • Participate in clinical instruction, student education, and competency assessments.
  • Adhere to departmental policies, attendance, dress code, and effective time management.
  • Manage supplies and equipment resources carefully.
  • Complete internal variance reports for any errors within 24 hours.

Contract Length

  • Approximately 27 weeks.

Work Schedule

  • 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiation Therapist license in New Mexico.
  • Certified and Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
