Monitor Technician I

Location

  • Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Job Type

  • Full-time, 36 hours per week
  • 13-week contract

Role Summary

  • Monitors telemetry for patients after nursing staff attach them to the telemetry unit.
  • Performs ECGs as needed.
  • Helps troubleshoot monitor equipment and alerts staff when a patient is in crisis.
  • Maintains rhythm strip printouts, alarm settings, and monitor-area supplies.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association, required upon hire.
  • Monitor Technician experience within the last year.
  • One completed travel assignment.
  • 1 year of Monitor Technician experience.

Experience

  • No experience required.

Helpful Skills

  • Basic arrhythmia interpretation.
  • ECG tracing.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills for working effectively with staff.

Additional Notes

  • Travel experience is required.
