RN Outpatient Surgery

Location

• Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 4:45am - 3:15pm
• No weekends, no major holidays, and no call requirements

Role Summary

• Pre-op nurse for surgical and interventional radiology patients
• Provides nursing care to hospital patients with a range of health problems
• Assists with patient examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, treatment, medication administration, IV infusions, and blood products
• Documents patient responses and changes in physician orders
• Coordinates care with patients, families, and support staff

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Outpatient Surgery experience within the last year
• 1 year of Outpatient Surgery experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or higher from a Board Approved Program
• EPIC experience
• Level I Trauma experience

• Professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Good verbal and written communication
• Ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Some computer skills

Contract Length

• 13 weeks
