Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Diagnostic Cardiology

Detroit, Michigan

Contract Length

13 weeks

Work Schedule

Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Hours per week: 40
Hours per day: 8

Job Description

Provide leadership in coordinating and delivering quality, compassionate patient care.
Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and patient/family teaching.
Communicate pertinent patient and family information effectively to the healthcare team.
Participate in identifying and resolving variances from patient goals to ensure implementation of solutions.
Perform cardiac stress tests in the Cardio Non-invasive lab, with an expectation of completing 4-8 stress tests per shift.
Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services within the assigned unit/department.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Michigan.
Minimum 2 years of cardiology nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
