Job Opportunity: Mammography Technologist
Location: Murray, Utah

Job Summary
- Perform radiographic mammography procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic films for detecting breast tissue abnormalities.
- Work independently without constant supervision, using judgment, creativity, and initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure proper patient identification and order verification; prepare patients for exams.
- Perform radiologic mammography exams following department protocols, including advanced procedures such as stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages.
- Operate mammographic equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Use equipment and techniques appropriately to ensure image quality and patient safety.
- Apply radiation protection measures to meet ALARA program requirements.
- Stay current with new procedures and equipment to maintain high skill levels.
- Maintain records as required by JCAHO and the Utah State Bureau of Radiation Control. Complete all documentation accurately, including time stamps and image storage.
Required Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated competency in patient positioning for mammography.
- Knowledgeable about breast self-examinations; able to answer patient questions and provide written materials.
- Physical requirements include lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, speaking, standing, and walking.
- Radiation badge (dosimeter) required; providers encouraged to use an existing badge if available to maintain exposure history.

- Experience in Imaging or Mammography.
