Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics - Travel/Contract

Location: San Angelo, Texas
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Start Date: Preferred 1/26; may consider 2/9

Qualifications & Experience

• CRT or RRT accepted
• No explicit years of experience stated; assume minimum required is based on specialty standards (Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics)
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Work Schedule

• Facility prefers 48 hours/week but may consider 36 hours/week

Required Certifications

• ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted)
• BLS (AHA or ARC accepted)
• PALS (AHA or ARC accepted; ICU RNs have 1 year to obtain for longer assignments)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as applicable
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as applicable; required for ER, ICU RNs have 1 year to obtain for longer assignments
• EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) as applicable
• NIH Stroke Certification as applicable (required for ICU and PCU)
• Chemotherapy certification as applicable
• ENPC as applicable
• State License Verification within 30 days of start
• NURSYS Verification (RN, LPN/LVN, AP) within 30 days of start
• Tech Cert Verification - National within 30 days of start
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (annual update)
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) during orientation

Background & Compliance Requirements

• 7 Year Background Check required within 30 days of start (statewide, counties, federal, national, education verification, international if applicable)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
• Education Verification required
• Legal name must match on all documentation (license, social security card, certifications)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical Exam within 1 year of start (must be completed within 72 hours of signing contract)
• Fit Test within 6 months prior to start; annual updates required
• TDAP vaccine within 10 years of start
• Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 1 year of start; TB Questionnaire required annually or in lieu of annual test
• Rubeola (Measles): Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if negative/equivocal
• Mumps: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if negative/equivocal
• Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if negative/equivocal
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer or series with signed declination if applicable
• Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or proof of disease; boosters if negative/equivocal
• Drug Testing required within 30 days; includes multiple substances; plan must be in place within 72 hours of contract signing
• Flu Seasonal Vaccination or facility-specific declination form required during flu season (10/31-3/31)
• COVID initial series required; boosters not required

• Completion of various facility forms prior to start, including:

  • Vaccine Exemption Form (if applicable)
  • Applicant Health Record Form
  • Code of Conduct and Compliance Form
  • Compact- Temporary License Declaration of Residency Form
  • Confidentiality Statement Form
  • Information System Security Agreement Form
  • Non-Employee Orientation Update Form
  • Traveler Orientation
  • Hepatitis B Declination (if no positive titer on file)

Additional Requirements

• 2 References within 3 years of start
• Copy of Resume/Application required
• Skills Checklist required and updated annually
• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
• Competency Exam as applicable
