Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Tennessee
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (1 year of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ARRT
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- Adult Critical Care experience
- Emergency Department (ED) experience
- Nebulized medication therapy (AeroEclipse, Aerobika flutter valves)
- Chest percussion and bedside parameters (FVC/NIF) for neuro population
- V60 BiPAP
- Transport ventilators
- Glidescope intubation
- Bronchoscopy system operation
- Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators
- Bedside bronchoscopies
- Percutaneous trachostomy

Candidate Requirements
- 2 supervisory references
- 7-year work history with no unexplained gaps over 30 days
- Unit-specific skills checklist within the last year
- Color blind testing within 12 months prior to start
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Competency exam
- Core Part I, II, and III competency exams
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- TB questionnaire
- MMR documentation
- Hepatitis B documentation
- Varicella documentation
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption, if starting between 9/1 and 4/1
- Drug screening within 45 days of start
- Background check
- Driver’s license or state ID
- Passport-style photo for badge
- Utility bill, mortgage statement, or lease showing address more than 75 miles from the contracted facility
