Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
• Shift: 3 consecutive 12-hour day shifts (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call required
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs, including sister facilities
• Daily caseload varies by shift and location

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in South Carolina
• Minimum 6 months of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT RT (R) (CT) certification
• SCRQSA (R) (CT) certification
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients

Facility & Work Environment

• Teaching hospital with Magnet status and Level 1 Trauma designation
• Total staffed beds: 865
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Teal top and black bottom
• Parking: Paid parking required nights and weekends; one-time $20 parking pass

Health & Safety Requirements

• Radiation badge required for all Radiology/Cardiology travelers (except MRI Techs, Mammography Techs, Pediatric Echo Techs, Ultrasound Techs)
• Fit test for N95 mask (O&M Halyard FLUIDSHIELD or 3M Aura 1870+) within 90 days prior to start, renewed annually
• Physical exam updated annually, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Immunizations and titers required or proof of immunity for:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination form)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella (positive titer or vaccination series)
  • Varicella (positive titer or vaccination series)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
• Negative TB test (T-spot or Q-Gold) within 90 days or proof of prior positive with chest x-ray
• Annual TB questionnaire required
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
• COVID-19 vaccination highly preferred; if declined, must complete vaccination declination form
• Seasonal flu vaccine required during flu season or medical/religious exemption accepted (no declinations)

Documentation & Compliance

• Copy of Driver’s License/State ID and Social Security Card required
• Employment application/resume with complete work history including PTO, contract assignments, and no unaccounted gaps
• Verification of last 3 clinical employers required (attestation letters accepted if verification not possible)
• Color blindness test required prior to start
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
• Facility-specific orientation modules and first day instructions must be completed before orientation
• Passport-style badge photo required before start (frontal view, solid light background, business casual attire)

Additional Notes

• Radius rule: 60 miles; local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application and approved based on unit needs
• Radiation badge processing may take 5-7 days; candidates cannot start patient care without badge
• Sterile Processing Techs have additional health and documentation requirements (not applicable to this role)
