Overview

• Travel/Contract assignment in West Islip, New York
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 36 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New York
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• 2 clinical references at supervisor level or above; Charge RNs are acceptable
• Employment application must include 7 years of employment history with any gaps explained
• Skills checklist must be current within the last year and applicable to the position

Preferred Qualifications

• EPIC EMR experience

Compliance / Onboarding Requirements

• Driver's license or state ID with address and clear picture
• 7-year background check completed within 30 days of start and updated annually
• State license verification within 30 days of start
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam with minimum score of 80%
• Physical exam using the facility-specific form, initiated within 24-48 hours of offer acceptance and completed within 30 days prior to start
• Fit test completed within 12 months of start and updated annually
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray completed within 1 year of start
• Hepatitis B antibody and antigen results
• Standard 9-panel drug screen completed within 30 days prior to start
• Flu vaccination or documentation for the 2026-27 season, with declinations allowed and exemptions reviewed case by case
• Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella immunity documentation or vaccination
• AUP form signed prior to start
• New York State Medicaid Exclusion List documentation
• EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and other listed background screenings as required by the source
• Transcript or diploma, or education verification as applicable
