Physical Therapist Outpatient

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Rio Rico, Arizona
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 8:00–16:30
• 40 hours per week
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Arizona
• Physical Therapist (1 year of experience)
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS
• Experience in a(n) Outpatient setting

Role Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat physical therapy patients by physician referral or direct access
• Supervise physical therapy assistants under a PT plan of care
• Treat injured workers and support return-to-work planning
• Use modalities and exercise equipment in the facility
• Perform post-offer testing, work hardening evaluations, functional capacity evaluations, ergonomic evaluations, and job analysis
• Supervise cleaning or organizational tasks and direct PT technicians
• Answer phones, schedule patient visits, and take referrals
• Use billing codes for various payer types
• Update rehab nurses weekly on patient progress
• Communicate with referring physicians through evaluation and progress notes
• Assist with business development, referral relationships, educational programs, and community outreach
