Description

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with 1+ year of outpatient experience for a day-shift assignment in an outpatient clinic setting.

Details

Outpatient Physical Therapy clinic setting
Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Treats a varied caseload including orthopedic, neurologic, post-surgical, and work-injury patients
Utilizes modalities and exercise equipment available in the facility
Performs specialized testing such as WorkSTEPS, APET, Functional Capacity Evaluations, and ergonomic assessments

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient setting
Current BLS certification required
License required if applicable
Experience with assessment, body mechanics, and orthopedic and neurologic conditions preferred
Knowledge of home exercise programs and patient/family education
Comfortable working with any charting system

Additional Information

Evaluates and treats patients per physician referral or direct access
Supervises physical therapy assistants and PT technicians in care plan execution
Maintains ongoing communication with referring physicians and rehab nurses regarding patient progress
Understands and applies billing codes for various payer types
May assist with community outreach, marketing, and referral source development
Open to first-time travelers
