Role Overview

• Travel/Contract RN position in San Diego, California.
• Float pool assignment covering Thornton (La Jolla), Jacobs (La Jolla), Hillcrest, and East Campus (La Mesa).
• RN must be able to work at 3 locations during the contract and may float to EDIP (emergency department inpatient overflow in the ER).
• Patient population includes Cardiac, Neuro, General, Stroke, Medical, Surgical, kidney, Liver solid organ transplant, and Trauma.

Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00–19:00
• 3x12 hours
• 36 hours per week
• 4-week schedule is sent two weeks in advance
• No blocked or self-scheduling
• Must work 2 out of 3 holidays:

  • Christmas Day & Eve
  • Thanksgiving Day and after
  • New Year’s Eve and Day

Contract Length

• 18 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or National Health Care Provider Solutions or Military Training Network
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or National Health Care Provider Solutions or Military Training Network
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• A-line placement and management
• PICC line management
• Chest tube management
• Mechanical ventilation management

Preferred Qualifications

• Pulmonary artery lines
• ICP
• BSN
