Experience

  • 2 years of experience required
  • First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • CVICU (2 years of experience)
  • CVICU experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

  • Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • CVP monitoring
  • Epicardial pacing wire care and management
  • Post-cardiac surgery care
  • Pre/post cardiac cath intervention
  • Pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring
  • Sheath removal
  • TAVR
  • Valve repair/replacement
  • IV insulin protocols
  • Renal failure and AKI care
  • Hemodialysis management
  • Shunt/fistula care
  • Port access and management
  • Arterial line management
  • Blood product administration
  • Central line and PICC line care
  • IV initiation and maintenance
  • Continuous IV sedation
  • Procedural sedation administration/monitoring
  • Cardiac and vasoactive drip titration
  • Chest tube insertion/removal assistance
  • BiPAP/CPAP management
  • Ventilator and tracheostomy care
  • HFNC
  • ABG interpretation
  • Suctioning
  • ACT, fibrinogen, INR, PT/PTT monitoring
  • Infection prevention and isolation precautions
  • High-output drain management

  • Post cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients
  • Post heart and liver transplant patients
  • ECMO support
  • CVPACU recovery for vascular and structural procedures
  • TEE/cardioversion recovery
  • Temporary central line placement support
  • Impella
  • IABP
  • LVAD initial insertion
  • CRRT

Scheduling Notes

  • 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
  • Floating may be required within scope
  • No on-call required
  • Up to 7 days of requested time off allowed

Additional Notes

  • Navy blue scrubs
  • EPIC charting
  • Local candidates accepted
