Job Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Charleston, South Carolina
• Pediatric critical care float pool assignment
• Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation required
• Floating required within scope to pediatric units in the children’s hospital
• First-time travelers accepted if they have the required experience
• Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis if within 60 miles

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in South Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of Critical Care Float experience
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association

Preferred Experience

• ECMO experience
• CRRT experience

Schedule Notes

• Block scheduling may be considered with manager approval, depending on unit needs
• RTO must be submitted at time of application and is subject to unit approval
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Compliance / Onboarding

• Annual background check required
• 2 clinical references required
• Complete application/resume required
• Skills checklist required for applicable unit and must be updated annually
• Annual education verification required
• Annual physical exam required
• Fit test required within 90 days of start and annually thereafter
• Tdap required within 10 years of start or declination required
• TB screening required within 90 days of start, plus annual TB questionnaire
• Drug screen required within 90 days of start
• COVID vaccination documentation or declination required
• Flu vaccination documentation or approved exemption required during flu season
• Color blind testing required before start
• Orientation modules must be completed before start
• Badge photo required before start
• State exclusion list required
