MS/Tele RN

Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Wilmington, North Carolina
• Night shift: 18:45–07:15
• 12-hour shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Every other weekend required
• Float required as needed
• Patient ratio: 1:5–6
• First time travelers accepted
• Locals accepted at local rate

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Must pass EKG Testing prior to start

Preferred

• Charge experience

Unit Details

• MS/TELE RN
• Isolation area for COVID patients
• Multi-level care includes stepdown, with stepdown patients cared for by stepdown staff rather than M/S staff

Additional Notes

• RTO after booking is not allowed
• Contract staff may be assigned to a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team
• Staff may be required to report during a catastrophic event, mass casualty, or disaster
• Mid-contract consolidation to a centralized office may occur, and staff may be preassigned to units as needed
• Navy scrubs required
• Unit orientation is 24 hours
• Travelers attend hospital orientation during week 1 and must be available for daily classes
