Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Location: Burlington, Vermont
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks

Job Description

• Full-time 8-hour day shifts, typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Call required; additional call may be needed based on department needs
• Patient population primarily adults
• Must have recent experience with EPIC electronic medical records system (within last 12 months, non-negotiable)
• Level 1 trauma center experience preferred
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle strongly recommended due to lack of public transportation; vehicles should have all-season or snow tires November through April
• No block schedules allowed
• Bi-weekly orientations on Mondays

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• EPIC experience within the last 12 months required
• License or proof of license in process must be included with application
• Must meet all facility-specific credentialing and background check requirements

Certifications & Compliance

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) may be required depending on unit
• National tech certification verification must be current (within 30 days of assignment start)
• Annual HIPAA training and orientation safety manual acknowledgment required
• Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
• Education verification as applicable
• Vermont Adult and Child Abuse Registry consent and search required
• COVID-19 vaccination or declination required
• Flu vaccination or exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
• Other immunizations and health documents required:

  • Physical exam within 12 months
  • N95 fit test (annual)
  • Tdap vaccination within 10 years or titer
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Pneumonia vaccination or declination if assigned to NY facility
• Drug testing as required by location

Documentation & Onboarding Requirements

• Complete and explain all work history with no gaps over 90 days
• Two professional references from assignments within last 3 years
• Skills checklist within last 12 months
• Employment application and work history verification for last 2 years
• Photo for badge (passport style, plain light background, no logos or hats)
• Auto insurance proof if using personal or rental vehicle
• Completion of EPIC and facility-specific online modules prior to start
• Various facility-specific forms including emergency contact, abuse registry consent, vaccination declinations, and attestation forms

• Public transportation is not accessible; reliable transportation is essential
• Orientation and onboarding require timely submission of all documents
• Facility enforces strict compliance with vaccination and health screening protocols
• Candidates must be prepared for a trauma-level environment and adult patient care
