Shift Details

• Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Total hours per week: 36

Unit and Patient Ratio

• Medical-Surgical / Telemetry unit
• Patient ratio experience required: 1:4
• Total beds on unit: 24

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in specialty
• First-time travelers accepted
• Prior travel experience not required

Licenses and Certifications

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma
• Telemetry experience with a minimum of 2 years, including experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Basic Dysrhythmia certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Required Competencies and Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (annual, 100% passing score)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (annual, 90% passing score)
• Unit-specific Competency Exam (annual, 80% passing score)
• Core Parts I, II, and III Competency Exams (annual, 80% passing score)
• Conscious Sedation Competency Exam (if applicable, annual, 80% passing score)
• Color Blind Testing (within 60 days prior to start)
• Other unit-specific competencies as required

Floating and Scheduling

• Floating within scope of practice to sister facilities required
• No block scheduling accommodations
• Local candidates within 75 miles radius not accepted

Background and Verification Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and OFAC sanctions list checks required monthly
• Education verification with transcript/diploma required
• Employment history verification for last 10 years, including international positions and gaps
• Two references from former direct supervisors required (one within 1 year, one within 3 years)
• Skills checklist updated annually and aligned with competency exams

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year stating good health and no physical limitations
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
• Immunizations/vaccinations required or proof of immunity:

  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines, titer, or history of chickenpox)
  • Hepatitis B (vaccination series, positive titer, or declination with annual renewal)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap mandatory for certain units)
  • Flu vaccine required annually (with medical or religious exemption accepted)
  • Hepatitis A required for pediatric/PICU positions
• Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen including marijuana (within 30 days prior to start, updated annually)
• COVID vaccination strongly preferred; declinations accepted with agency form

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and utility bill in candidate’s name with matching address dated within last 3 months; address must be more than 75 miles from contracted facility
• Vehicle information form must be completed prior to start
• Completion of Patient Care Orientation Class (Skills)
• EPIC charting experience required; if no EPIC experience within 6 months, EPIC training required before scheduling
• Fit testing for N95 masks completed onsite within 1 year prior to start
• Completion of HealthStream modules and facility-specific policy acknowledgments prior to start
• Oklahoma Offender Registration Act compliance and fingerprinting clearance required before start

This position requires a dedicated RN with solid experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, able to work night shifts and float as needed within the facility network. Compliance with extensive background, health, and competency requirements is mandatory.
