Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Columbia, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Requires 2 years of Registered Nurse experience.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered.
• Position is very active: involves ambulating, reaching, and moving objects over 20 lbs.
• Exposure to patients with contagious illnesses is routine.
• Facility operates 24/7, 365 days a year.
• Rotating shifts, holidays, and inclement weather work required.
• Shift: Day, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM).
• Must be able to:

  • Work full contract term at assigned location.
  • Work substantial portion of assigned shifts.
  • Take call.
  • Work assigned weekends.
  • Work at least 50% of holidays during contract.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri.
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Requirements

• Must submit a forward-facing photo (head and shoulders, neutral background) for badge if a new candidate.
• Must complete Missouri-specific background and caregiver screening forms as required.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment with exposure to infectious diseases.
• Must be flexible to work holidays, weekends, and inclement weather conditions.

• Prior travel experience is not required.
• This is a travel/contract position with a 13-week assignment.
