Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Tech
Location: Lexington, Kentucky
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shift, typically 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM (5 days a week, 8 hours per day)
- Call Requirements:
- Call once every 9 weeks.
- Weekday call usually ends by 6 PM unless there is a late patient.
- Weekend call coverage from 8 AM to 5 PM for specific cases (GI bleeds, bio-leaks, VQs, brain death).
- Call-ins are infrequent (only 5 times last year).
- Patient Care: Provide care in General Nuclear Medicine (routine studies such as Bones, Gastrics, Hepatos, Renals, etc.).
- Equipment: Siemens cameras including Symbia, Intevo SPECT/CT, and Biograph MCT Flow PET/CT.
- Experience:
- Nuclear Medicine experience required.
- PET/CT experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Local travelers within 75 miles are not accepted.
- Key Skills: Good communication, attention to detail, and patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in Kentucky
- Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Additional Notes
- Travelers must have a renewal plan in place for any certifications or licenses expiring during the contract.
- Candidates must initiate background checks and other required documentation promptly upon contract signing.
- This position requires flexibility with slight shift changes based on scheduled patients.
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this role.
