Registered Nurse (RN) - Stress Testing

Location: Elmira, New York
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 07:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Job Description

• Must have Telemetry experience and be able to read EKG strips.
• Responsible for starting IVs and pushing Definity contrast for echocardiograms.
• Perform all stress testing including plain treadmill, nuclear stress, and stress echocardiogram.
• Follow protocol-driven stress testing procedures.
• Cardiologists are available for dobutamine stress echocardiogram and patient concerns.
• Cardiology experience required.

Required Qualifications

Licensure

• Valid RN license in New York.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year.
• Cardiology experience.

Education

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Certifications

• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Additional Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
• Must be able to follow protocols and work collaboratively with cardiologists.
• Stress testing is a key responsibility, including treadmill, nuclear, and echocardiogram stress tests.

This position is ideal for an RN with strong telemetry and cardiology skills who is comfortable performing advanced cardiac testing and working in a protocol-driven environment.
