Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Location: Bismarck, North Dakota
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• ND State Licensure

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Respiratory Therapy
• Minimum Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated, but must have NICU experience
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Patient Population

• Neonatal to Geriatrics
• Level II Trauma, NICU, ICU, Surgical, Medical, Cardiac patients

Work Environment

• Coverage across all areas of the facility including inpatient, outpatient, ER, rehab, and sleep lab
• RT equipment used: Airvo, PB 840 Vent, PB 980 Vent, Hamilton C1, MR1, V-60 Respironics

Scheduling

• Shifts: 0600-1830 and 1800-0630
• Weekend Requirement: Rotating every third weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every third holiday
• Orientation: 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• Scheduling Type: Nights, every other week, first to float

Additional Notes

• No clinical involvement required
• RTs are respected by other disciplines; staff is friendly
• Successful candidates should be able to work independently, make clinical judgments, and collaborate closely with physicians
• Radius rule: Must live within 50 miles and cannot be employed full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI and Dignity)
• Return to Office (RTO) needed within 7 days of the 13-week contract start; no additional RTO approvals

This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists with NICU experience looking for a 13-week contract in a diverse clinical setting.
