Surgical Tech (CVOR Tech) - Travel Contract

Location: Tacoma, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced CVOR Tech for a travel assignment in a hospital setting. The role involves working in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with an average of 4 cases per day, including CABG, TAVR, minimally invasive, and open valve replacements.

Schedule & Shift Details

Shift: Day shift
Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (8 hours/day, 40 hours/week)
Call Requirement: Mandatory for all staff, including weekends and holidays
Call Response Time: 30 minutes
Floating: May be required to float to the Main OR
Scrubs: Provided by the hospital

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of cardiac experience as a CVOR Tech
Active BLS certification
Current Washington State license for CVOR Tech
COVID-19 vaccination required
Experience with Epic EMR system preferred

Additional Information

Unit-specific orientation provided
Crisis protocol approved
Charge nurse/house supervisor available for support
Scrubbing required for techs; not required for RNs in this unit

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
Minimally invasive and open valve replacements
