Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Utica, New York
Shift: Day (8:30 AM – 9:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work in a 64-bed Emergency Department unit with diverse patient populations including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction (MI), cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.
  • Unit includes 2 triage beds, 40 acute beds, 6 super track beds, 2 trauma beds, 10 CDU beds, and 6 psychiatric beds.
  • Use specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
  • Floating to other units is required.
  • Charge nurse capability is highly preferred.
  • Block scheduling is not guaranteed.

Required Qualifications

  • Active New York RN license.
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric experience.
  • Prior travel experience is required.
  • Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCCTNCC.
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
  • Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics.
  • Must provide a NURSYS report verifying all active RN licenses.
  • Submission must include a resume, travel experience documentation, and RTO (Return to Office) information.
