Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical AM Shift
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in Ohio (Nursys or Board of Nursing verification required)
- Minimum years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume standard RN Medical/Surgical competency expected
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Completion of ECG exam prior to start
- Current skills checklist for Medical/Surgical nursing completed within 12 months
- Pharmacology exam completion within past year (80% pass rate)
- Specialty exam recommended (optional)
- Two professional references from a charge nurse or higher within last 2 years
- Valid government-issued ID or driver’s license matching profile address
- Completion of criminal background check within 90 days prior to start, including nationwide checks and SSN trace
- 9-panel drug screen completed within 90 days prior to start (marijuana removed from panel)
- Proof of education verification (highest level)
- Recent color badge photo (within 6 months) meeting specified criteria
- Completion of internal competency checklist within 2 weeks of start date
- Completion of annual compliance training module prior to start
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Fit test for N95 respirators or PAPR (annual, must be completed onsite or offsite within one week prior to start)
- Tuberculosis testing (2-step skin test or QuantiFERON/T-Spot within 30 days prior to start; chest x-ray if prior positive)
- Proof of immunity or vaccination for:
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 vaccinations or positive IgG titer)
- Varicella (2 vaccinations or positive IgG titer)
- Hepatitis B (series of 3, positive titer, or declination accepted)
- Tdap vaccine recommended for pediatric positions (optional for this role)
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31), with medical/religious exemptions considered case-by-case
- Physical/health statement within 1 year
