Job Description

• Provide speech-language pathology services in an outpatient rehab setting.
• Attire: Any solid color scrubs; close-toed shoes required.
• Parking: Free
• Mileage reimbursement: None

Required Qualifications

• Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Texas (pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals accepted

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form prior to start
• Background checks within 1 year, including SS Trace, County searches (7 years), Nationwide, Sex Offender registry; updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks annually
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask required prior to start (any mask acceptable)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific rules for past positives)
• Immunization or titer proof for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella (Chicken Pox)
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or declination required
• Work history verification of most recent employer
• Two professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles (within 3 years)
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable

Additional Notes

• Requests for time off (RTO) must be approved only at time of submission; no approvals after offer.
• Cannot guarantee all holidays off.
• Any call-outs require more than 24 hours’ notice.
• Weekend coverage is mandatory once per month.

This position is suitable for SLPs seeking a travel contract in a rehab outpatient setting with a structured day shift and minimal weekend requirements.
