Unit Overview

This unit serves adult through geriatric patients and prioritizes admissions for medical-level cardiac care and recovery from cardiac interventions, including cardiac surgery, coronary artery stent placement, and pacemaker implantation. It also admits hemodynamically stable non-procedural cardiac patients.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

  • Travel experience preferred

  • Drivers license or state ID

  • Tdap within 10 years of start
