Job Opportunity: IV Therapy Vascular Access Nurse

Location: Newark, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Provide individualized, age-specific nursing care in Radiology and Imaging Services with a focus on IV Access.
Responsibilities include:
- Inserting and managing IVs, midlines, and PICCs according to competency.
- Monitoring for complications and responding appropriately.
- Maintaining sterile technique and TIME OUT compliance.
- Ensuring emergency equipment readiness.
- Reviewing post-PICC chest x-rays per policy.
- Educating patients and families.

Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Hours per week: 40

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey.
Minimum of 1 year of vascular access experience, with experience within the last year.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
IV Therapy Certification.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
