Overview
- Travel/Contract RN assignment in Los Angeles, California
- 13-week contract
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
- 36 hours per week
- Accepts first-time travelers
Unit Details
- Labor and Delivery unit with 4 triage rooms, 11 LDR rooms, and 2 ORs
- NICU and Post-Partum are part of the unit setting
- Low and High Risk L&D
- 24 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia support
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- AWHONN Advanced
- EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
- Harassment Prevention Training Certificate
- Use of External Fetal Monitoring
- Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Experience circulating for C-sections
- Experience with Epic
Schedule Requirements
- 4 weekend shifts per month, on Friday or Saturday nights
- Mandatory on-call coverage 2 times per month in addition to the 3 shifts
- May be placed on call if not needed for the scheduled shift
- Must be willing to float to Perinatal if needed
- Must work most holidays
- No RTO during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- RTO must be submitted with the application
- Maximum 3 days of RTO
- 1 holiday RTO request may be submitted, but approval is not guaranteed
