Registered Dietician Diabetes Educator

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Burlingame, California.
Day shift, 5x8 hours, with variable start times between 0700 and 1000; weekends as needed.
Contract length: 13 weeks.

Role Summary

Provides diabetes self-management education/training (DSMT) and/or medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to individuals, family members, and groups.
Manages care for a distinct patient population through assessment, nutritional guidance, lifestyle intervention goals, and counseling.
Coordinates with physicians, pharmacists, case managers, social workers, and other providers to develop individualized protocols that support disease control and quality of life.

Required Qualifications

Valid RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist license in California.
RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with 2 years of experience.
RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist experience within the last year.
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Bachelor's degree in Dietetics.
Demonstrated expertise in the use of diabetes monitoring and managing equipment, including blood glucose monitors, insulin injection devices, and the computer software associated with these devices.
Advance knowledge of adult learning theory and ability to provide individual and group education.
