Location: Deerfield Beach, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Dual Modality X-Ray Tech / CT Tech role
• 36 hours per week
• Shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• 2-3 on-call shifts per month (on-call only if someone calls out)
• Hurricane sign-up required (not guaranteed)

Required Experience

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• X-Ray Technician experience
• Proficient in operating as both CT Tech and X-Ray Tech (Dual Modality)

Skills and Competencies

• Experience with imaging of Abdomen/GI/Pelvis, Chest/Thorax, Head/Neck, Lower/Upper Extremity, Spine/Pelvis
• Portable X-Ray experience
• PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) proficiency
• Multiplanar Reconstruction (preferred)
• Preparation and administration of contrast media
• Starting IVs
• Spine/Musculoskeletal and Brain Perfusion imaging
• CTA and CCTA imaging (preferred)
• Isolation precautions knowledge
• Experience with all patient age groups from neonate to older adult
• Work in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
• EPIC electronic health record experience required
• Familiarity with Siemens GoTop CT scanner

Required Licenses and Certifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Florida
• Active Florida CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) license
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification via AHA or ARC

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with a 60-mile radius rule for local candidates
• Physical exam confirming freedom from communicable diseases and ability to perform job functions without restrictions (within 6 months of start)
• Negative QuantiFERON TB test within 6 months (no TSPOT or PPD accepted)
• Annual fit mask test with approved masks (3M 1860 Regular or Small)
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity: MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella
• Completion of required background checks including aliases, SSN trace, nationwide and sex offender searches
• Completion of required online orientation and compliance modules (clinical and non-clinical as applicable)
• Two professional references from within the last 2 years

Certifications and Training (Must be current and valid)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) if applicable
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Certification
• Computed Tomography credential on ARRT certification
• Other facility-required modules and trainings related to clinical practice, safety, and compliance

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit prior travel experience required

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Florida
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• X-Ray Technician experience
• Experience with IV starts
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
